About
RDM Osteopathy is a home-based osteopathy clinic in Penn, Wolverhampton. Its director and principal osteopath is Ruby Myatt.
Ruby graduated from Swansea University in 2018 with a First Class Honours M.Ost. She then worked for a number of years at an established practice in Birmingham before setting up on her own. There she treated a wide range of people, from professional athletes and dancers to high-level musicians and people with everyday aches and injuries. She says that range has given her a rounded understanding of how the body moves, performs and recovers.
Her own sporting background adds to that. Ruby has competed at a high level in tennis, hockey and cricket, which she says gives her an insight into sports injuries and the physical demands behind them.
RDM Osteopathy has separate appointment types for children and for pregnancy, as well as standard osteopathy. Ruby uses manipulative therapy, soft and deep tissue work, craniosacral therapy and exercise rehabilitation programmes. The clinic describes its aim as helping patients feel heard and understood.
If you are unsure whether osteopathy is right for you, there is a free 15-minute phone consultation. A first appointment starts with a thorough case history, followed by a hands-on examination and, if it is safe to do so, treatment. Afterwards Ruby gives aftercare advice and exercises where they would help.
An initial consultation lasts 45 minutes and costs £60, and follow-ups are £50. Paediatric and pregnancy appointments are £60, deep tissue massage starts at £30, and a home visit is listed at £100.
Parking is available at the clinic, and the nearest bus stop is a two-minute walk away. Appointments can be booked online. Ruby is registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
