About

Geoff Hale Osteopath is a practice on Tettenhall Road in Wolverhampton, about a mile from the city centre. Geoff Hale qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in London in 1987 and has run a full-time osteopathic practice ever since, giving him over 35 years of experience.

A career of that length in general practice means Geoff has seen most common musculoskeletal problems many times over. The practice also sees many difficult cases, including patients who come as a last resort after trying other therapies. In recent years Geoff has developed a special interest in treating headaches and head pain, which he hopes to keep developing.

If you are not sure whether osteopathy is the right step, or do not see your problem listed, Geoff Hale Osteopath invites you to call for impartial advice before committing to treatment.

The practice treats musculoskeletal complaints, postural issues and sports injuries, including acute and chronic lower back pain, sciatica and other nerve pain, and neck pain. Treatment plans follow the diagnosis and change as you progress. They may include hands-on soft tissue work, mobilisation, joint manipulation, electrotherapy, rehabilitation exercises, and taping and strapping. With your consent, Geoff will liaise with other healthcare providers, and he can refer on for further investigation where needed.

A first appointment takes around 45 minutes and costs £65, covering the diagnostic consultation, assessment and initial treatment. Follow-ups are around 30 minutes at £55. Fees are the same whether or not you are claiming on insurance. The practice is recognised by most major health insurers and benefit schemes, but not Bupa or AXA PPP, and patients claim the cost back with a receipt.

Geoff Hale Osteopath is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm, with Saturday mornings kept for urgent cases. There is parking in St Jude’s Road West, and the number 1 bus stops nearby. Geoff is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
